Malkemes Scholarship Now Available to Newly Admitted MSPW & MSTI students

Starting in Fall 2022, the Malkemes Scholarship will be available to MS in Professional Writing (MSPW) and MS in Translation and Interpreting (MSTI) students beginning their graduate studies.

NEW YORK, August 2, 2022— The NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) is excited to an announce a new scholarship opportunity for graduate students in two fully online, innovative degree programs: the MS in Professional Writing (MSPW) and the MS in Translation and Interpreting (MSTI). The Malkemes Scholarship will provide tuition assistance to an incoming student in each degree program per academic year. This award aims to support students entering either program with a focus on work that advances issues of equity and inclusion. Each $7000 award will cover the cost of one 3-credit course in either program.

Newly admitted students in either the MSPW or the MSTI will have the opportunity to apply for this scholarship once they have received their NYU SPS admissions letter. About the MS in Professional Writing
The MS in Professional Writing is a fully online, 36-credit program that prepares students to craft strategic copy and to shape important stories for target audiences in new and exciting ways. Our curriculum combines a traditional grounding in writing, style, and rhetoric with in-depth explorations of modern communication theories and emerging writing practices. Students develop their creative ability with a focus on professional stability.

About the MS in Translation and Interpreting
The MS in Translation & Interpreting is a fully online, 36-credit program that prepares students to become effective language professionals ready for today’s global workplaces. Our curriculum focuses on the textual, cultural, and technical competencies in communication across languages that are central to this growing field. Students master strategies for translating complex documents and gain a foundation in the principles of interpreting.
