Kristine Rodriguez Kerr, EdD, receives NYU SPS 2020 Teaching Excellence Award

Congratulations to Kristine Rodriguez Kerr, EdD, academic director and clinical assistant professor of the MS in Professional Writing (MSPW) program, for receiving the NYU SPS 2020 Teaching Excellence Award. The Award recognizes faculty members for their exceptional dedication to student engagement and innovative pedagogy.

During the virtual award ceremony, which was held on the evening of Monday, April 20, and recognized numerous NYU SPS faculty members, Rodriguez Kerr was described by colleagues as a “dedicated, multifaceted, and generous leader,” and an “inspirational advocate for students and online learning.” Teaching Excellence Awardees are presented to faculty members who challenge, inspire, and support students with an unwavering commitment to educating the industry practitioners and leaders of tomorrow. Fully online since 2013, the MSPW program offers an applied, workshop-model curriculum that prepares students to craft strategic copy and shape important stories for target audiences across industries.
