Filip Noterdaeme, MA, has taught and lectured on art at colleges, universities, and museums for two decades. He is a gallery lecturer at the Guggenheim Museum and Assistant Professor of Art History at the Eugene Lang College at the New School for Liberal Arts and the John Jay School of Criminal Justice at CUNY. He is the author of The Autobiography of Daniel J. Isengart (Outpost19, 2013) and a forthcoming book of poems, Growl and Other Poems. Noterdaeme writes a blog on contemporary art for The Huffington Post. At NYUSPS he teaches courses on Western Art including How to be Modern at the Met; Gertrude and Pablo: Two Pioneers of Modernism; and Vermeer: The Beauty and Mystery of the Light Within.
