Meera Thompson, a practicing artist with extensive teaching experience, has conducted programs in the galleries of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Since 2000, she has taught a variety of courses in the arts at the NYU SPS that examine techniques and concepts in drawing, painting, and collage. Thompson’s work is shown frequently in solo and group exhibitions, and is represented in numerous private and public collections including Columbia University Art Properties. She received her B.A. from Vassar College and M.F.A. from Boston University, with additional training at The Art Students League of New York and the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.
