Eleonore Fournier-Tombs is a data scientist who has worked throughout the United Nations systems in AI policy and predictive analytics, most recently as Head of Anticipatory Action and Innovation at United Nations University Centre for Policy Research. In 2024, she served as the Research Lead for the Secretary General’s AI Advisory Body, and has written many UN AI policy reports. She teaches Data Science for Global Affairs at NYU Centre for Global Affairs, and has taught technology policy, data science, cybersecurity and international cooperation at McGill University and University of Montreal. Eleonore has just been appointed Chief AI Officer for New York State, where she will lead the deployment of responsible AI for New York residents.
