Dr Zeynep Sayim is a dedicated university teacher who believes in the importance of continuous learning. She has lived and worked in five very different countries and received her postgraduate degrees (PhD and MA) in human resource management in a sixth one. Her intercultural understanding has always informed her teaching at all levels (i.e., undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive) in a wide array of courses within the management and organisation field. While living in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), she worked on a project for the UNDP Country Office in Mongolia, focusing on career coaching and teamwork, in addition to her voluntary work for several children’s and women’s charities in various capacities. She has also presented her research at several international conferences and published in highly ranked academic journals, e.g., Human Relations, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Innovations in Education and Teaching International, Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research, International Journal of Forecasting, as well as in edited books. Currently, she lives in New York and holds adjunct professorships at the Gabelli School of Business of Fordham University and the School for Professional Studies of New York University. She also leads the establishment of a nonprofit for Turkish American women entrepreneurs, the first of its kind in the USA, with the primary goals of providing networking, training, and mentoring opportunities for its target community. She is married to a Turkish diplomat, has two teenage children, two cats and two dogs.
