Joelle is currently Investment Director at Missio Invest, an impact-first fund which she has helped to launch and scale over the last 8 years. Missio Invest has deployed over $40 million in loans to health, education, agribusiness and financial inclusion enterprises across 11 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, Joelle focused on healthcare investing, initially as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse and later as a private equity associate at Advent International. Joelle earned her MBA & MA in International Studies from the Wharton School and Lauder Institute at University of Pennsylvania and her BA in English and American Literature from Princeton University. She is also fluent in French and enjoys volunteering with education focused organizations. For example, Joelle is a mentor for the NYU Stern School of Business's EmpowHER Program and also serves as Vice President of Avek Ou, a nonprofit supporting displaced youths and families in Haiti.
