Stephon Boatwright is a political scientist and educator specializing in constitutional law, international relations, and political extremism. His research focuses on authoritarian populism, political myths, conspiracy theories, and processes of political radicalization, with particular attention to transatlantic politics and democratic theory. His work draws on political psychology, critical theory, and discourse analysis to examine how uncertainty, misinformation, and identity-based narratives shape contemporary political behavior and democratic institutions. He holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the CUNY Graduate Center. Outside of academics, his interests include international travel, mountaineering, and reggae music.
