Professor Pogorelova’s teaching is grounded in student-centered pedagogy, where mathematics is explored in dialogue with anthropology, history, art, visual culture, and aesthetics. Her interests include curriculum design that unites practical application with theoretical rigor. Beyond the classroom, her work spans international humanitarian and peace-building initiatives and sustained engagement with local communities across the globe, with particular attention to food systems, women’s education and empowerment, and cultural heritage.
