Surya Pandruvada is a senior analytics leader with over 18 years of experience driving enterprise transformation through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and data strategy across industries, with a primary focus on healthcare and life sciences. His work spans strategy, technology, and execution, emphasizing the translation of complex data into actionable insights that improve decision-making and measurable business outcomes.
Surya currently serves as Executive Vice President and Head of the Pharma Advanced Analytics Practice at Ipsos MMA, where he leads a global team of analytics professionals supporting pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations across the healthcare ecosystem. In this role, he oversees enterprise data strategy, analytics innovation, and governance, helping organizations accurately measure the impact of commercial and marketing investments. He has been instrumental in advancing integrated analytics frameworks that combine marketing mix modeling with multi-touch attribution, enabling a comprehensive view of how field force activity and promotional strategies influence performance.
Previously, Surya held senior leadership roles across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and enterprise analytics. At BD (Becton Dickinson), he founded and scaled a global AI and Analytics Center of Excellence, integrating previously siloed analytics capabilities to accelerate insight generation and decision support across diagnostic and medical product lines. Earlier at Ipsos MMA, he led multi-market analytics programs for top pharmaceutical clients, delivering AI/ML- driven solutions in omnichannel measurement, field force effectiveness, and brand optimization.
Surya’s experience also includes analytics leadership roles at Novartis and Merkle, where he embedded advanced analytics into launch planning, lifecycle management, and customer engagement strategies. He began his career at FedEx, applying predictive modeling and optimization techniques to customer targeting, retention, and field sales territory design—experience that continues to inform his cross-industry perspective on scalable analyticsand operational excellence.
Across his career, Surya has developed deep expertise in advanced analytics, predictive modeling, AI/ML deployment, data governance, and commercial data science. His work includes patient-finding models, sales force and incentive compensation optimization, omnichannel performance measurement, competitive intelligence, and KPI-driven performance frameworks.
In addition to his industry leadership, Surya serves as Adjunct Faculty at New York University, where he teaches graduate-level courses in database modeling and statistical measurement. His teaching emphasizes practical application, analytical rigor, and responsible use of data, helping students connect foundational concepts to real-world business and healthcare challenges.
Surya holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona’s Eller School of Management, where he graduated with Beta Gamma Sigma honors, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shivaji University, India.
