With more than 40 years of experience as a linguist in the broadest range of areas, Tamar Paltrow brings unique perspective to interpreting and translation. As an interpreter, Tamar has worked in everything from military court martials and nuclear laboratories to hair design and medical conferences. As a translator, she has completed huge projects in pharmaceuticals, patents, engineering, legal, and even menus. During COVID, Tamar worked pro bono translating international scientific documents and is on the team at Crisis Translation, pro bono, helping refugees around the world. When not working, though that almost never happens, she remains steadfastly involved in her Jewish community, serving as Synagogue Board President for 2 terms and in Girl Scouts, chaperoning older girls to the World Center in Switzerland every other year. Tamar is thrilled to be part of the team ensuring that the next generation of linguists continues bridging communication across cultures.
