Adjunct Instructor
Mr. Ravetz is the President of Girona Ventures and has spent his entire real estate career acquiring commercial properties adding value through recapitalization, capital improvements, changing property use, implementing tax benefit programs, remediating environmental hazards, re-tenanting and other creative value-add enhancements. Since 1990, as a principal in Girona Ventures, Lighthouse Real Estate Ventures and DNC Capital, Mr. Ravetz has been responsible for the acquisition and redevelopment of multifamily, office and retail properties totaling in excess of ten million sf located in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
Girona also invests in and advises early-stage and private equity businesses in need of capital, industry contacts, and a deep well of business experience growing businesses and raising capital. Prior to the above RE ventures, Jeffrey was responsible for acquisition and financing at Time Equities, the national real estate investment firm based in New York. Prior to Time Equities, Mr. Ravetz was a small business strategist at Deloitte. Jeffrey received his B.S. in Economics and M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and is both a New York licensed Certified Public Accountant and Real Estate Broker.
Mr. Ravetz is currently an adjunct instructor at NYU’s School of Professional Studies and Schack School and a member of RESA (The Real Estate Services Alliance). Additionally, Mr. Ravetz serves on the board of trustees of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, is Vice-Chairman of New York Edge, the largest after-school learning program in NYC, and is a judge and mentor in the Wharton and NYU New Venture Programs.
