Daniel F Murray

Danny Murray is a lifelong learner and educator who currently serves as Director of English at Uncommon Schools. After graduating from Washington and Lee University, Danny joined Teach for America, and for over a decade, he taught middle school and high school English at North Star Academy in Newark, NJ. Danny continued his education at the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English. In his current role as Director of English, Danny oversees the English curriculum, trains teachers and leaders, and continues to foster a love of reading and writing. After teaching at the Relay Graduate School of Education, Danny joined NYU-SPS in 2020 as an adjunct writing professor.
