Emily B Wells

Dr. Emily Bailin Wells is an independent scholar, adjunct professor, and the co-founder of Co-Lab Education Group–an equity-focused educational consulting and professional development organization. She is a qualitative researcher with training in ethnographic, case study, and multimodal research methodologies. Her work is situated at the intersections of critical identity studies, youth literacy/ies practices, and multimodal composition. She earned a master’s degree in education, culture, and society from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in communication and education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Emily is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Klingenstein Center at Teachers College, Columbia University.
