Peter Weingard is an accomplished global marketing executive with over two decades of fueling growth at top technology and digital media brands.
Currently, the CMO of Wipro’s consulting and engineering business lines and the global head of brand. He is responsible for defining and executing a strategy that drives reputation, revenue and relationships across industry sectors for the $11 billion technology consulting and services powerhouse with 230,000+ employees in 65 countries.
Before that, he was the CMO of New York Public Radio, the largest NPR station group. He was a founding executive of WNYC Studios, which transformed the legacy broadcast business into becoming one of the largest and most influential podcast studios and program distributors in the world.
Earlier in his career he held marketing and product roles at Scripps Networks Interactive (Food Network), The New York Times and Live Nation and famed advertising agency, DDB Needham Worldwide.
Peter is on the board of the American Marketing Association New York, where he chairs the programming committee and the Marketing Hall of Fame. He also serves on the Marketing Advisory Council for the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stonybrook University. Weingard has been named to Forbes CMO Next list of the 50 most innovative marketers, Oncon Top 50 Marketer, Campaign US Digital 40 and the CMO Club’s CMO of the Year.
