Dr. Burdin Hickok is an Adjunct Assistant Professor within the Division of Business Programs and Center for Global Affairs. Professor Hickok teaches courses in leadership and strategy of global organizations, principles of corporate finance, and international political economy. He has held professional financial markets positions with top tier New York investment banks including Lehman Brothers, Swiss Bank(UBS), Bankers Trust, and Bank of America. Dr. Hickok served for three years in Iraq during OIF as a Senior Banking and Finance advisor to the U.S. Department of State and the Government of Iraq. During his time in Iraq Dr. Hickok was appointed Economic Section Head for the Kirkuk Provincial Reconstruction Team, a diplomatic outpost in Kirkuk, Iraq. While serving in Iraq he received the State Department’s Superior Honor Award and the Expeditionary Diplomacy Award. Dr. Hickok has been a guest contributor on CNBC and World Finance Magazine where he discussed the crisis in the Middle East and impacts on global markets.
