Jay Kosminsky teaches graduate courses in Public Relations as an adjunct faculty member at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. He retired from Johnson & Johnson as worldwide Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, J&J Group of Consumer Companies, following a career in corporate communications and public affairs. During his career at J&J and Pfizer, he held positions responsible for such areas as external relations, crisis communications, marketing communications, public policy, and corporate philanthropy. More recently, he was strategic advisor to Burson-Marsteller (now Burson, Cohn & Wolfe).
Earlier in his career, Jay served as press secretary to a Member of Congress and as a fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. He holds a BSFS from Georgetown University and MALD from Tufts University, Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Jay does volunteer work for the bipartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB), and is on the communications advisory panel for a CRFB project to bring together Americans from across the political spectrum to help heal our divided nation.
