Deborah Tomasi is a senior real estate executive with more than three decades of experience leading large-scale commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate portfolios across New York City and beyond. Over the course of her career, she has overseen more than 36 million square feet of real estate, including some of the most complex and high-profile properties in the region, such as the MetLife Building at 200 Park Avenue, the GM Building, Peter Cooper Village/Stuyvesant Town and extensive institutional portfolios for MetLife, New York University and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Her work has consistently centered on aligning the property performance to meet the Landlords goals with a focus on operational excellence, strategic planning, and long term asset stewardship in environments that demand both rigor and adaptability.
Ms. Tomasi has held senior leadership roles including Executive Vice President of Real Estate, and Senior Managing Director, leading multidisciplinary teams of more than 100 professionals. Her expertise spans commercial, retail, luxury residential, student housing, and mixed-use assets, with deep experience in operating and capital budget development, financial performance analysis, and the interpretation of key performance indicators.
Known as an expert integrator, she has successfully aligned internal teams, external partners, and institutional stakeholders to execute complex, multi-faceted initiatives in highly regulated and mission-driven environments.
In addition to her executive career, Ms. Tomasi has been widely recognized for her leadership and service. Her honors include multiple Global Best Practices Awards from Cushman and Wakefield, the Real Estate Board of New York’s John M. Griffin Community Service Award, and the Building Owners and Managers Association’s Pinnacle and President’s Awards. She has also served in public and industry leadership roles, including a mayoral appointment to the Comprehensive Plan and Economic Development Committee in Croton-on-Hudson and a three-year term on the Board of Directors of BOMA New York.
