Redefining Remote Learning

Having finished the last two years of her undergraduate degree during the pandemic, Shannon was hesitant to embrace remote learning for her graduate studies. However, she didn't want to pass up the opportunity to attend her dream school NYU, and the MS in Professional Writing program was perfect for her aspirations. Although she is studying remotely, Shannon has found the program to exceed her expectations. "I have gotten so much out of my program, and it's only been the first year! Professors, peers, and faculty alike have made my experience fantastic; I'm grateful for it all!" she shares.

Shannon's background in English Literature, which she pursued at the University of Central Florida, laid the foundation for her passion for writing. Her interest in obtaining practical, real-world experience drew her to NYU's program. Though she remains in the Sunshine State, Shannon feels connected to New York and the NYU community, achieving her dream of attending a New York institution while enjoying the perks of living in Florida.
