Preparing for the Future with Emerging Technologies

At the forefront of blockchain technology, Beckman aims to prepare students to leverage their technological skills in their careers. His goal is to narrow their focus to simple and needed real-world applications. "My students tend to learn these difficult concepts when our focus is problem-solving within their career, community, and family ecosystem," he explains. By contextualizing emerging technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence, and spatial computing within practical scenarios, Beckman ensures that students can grasp and apply these concepts effectively.

Advice for Aspiring Professionals

Beckman's advice for current students is straightforward: "Stay curious and keep learning." He believes that curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for thriving as post-grad professionals. He also emphasizes the importance of understanding the impact of emerging technologies on culture and society, urging future leaders to be proactive and engaged in their learning.

For prospective students, Beckman wants students to get fully immersed in the unique opportunities that New York City offers.
