What makes you proud to be an alum?

I'm proud to be an NYU CGA Alum because of the countless opportunities and strategic networks I was able to cultivate and sustain in the early phases of my professional and personal endeavors.

What are your main areas of responsibility in your current role?

As someone who specializes in Purpose-Driven Strategic Partnerships, I'm primarily responsible for overseeing and managing two major grant program portfolios along with cultivating meaningful relationships with AAPI-led and AAPI-serving Community Based Organizations (CBOs) throughout NY. My role involves a mix of program management, project management and community engagement.

How did your time at the CGA help prepare you for this role?

The two people at CGA that had the most profound impact on both my professional and personal life are Dr. Carolyn Kissane and Dr. Sylvia Maier. Both of them left an indelible impression on me that I can make a meaningful impact and difference within humanity and society. It was through countless interactions both inside and outside the classroom along with CGA events that I felt inspired to keep going after my endeavors even when the challenges stacked up. I would not be the person I am today if it wasn't for these two wonderful and caring instructors, advisors, and mentors.

Any favorite memories at the CGA?

Countless check-ins with both Carolyn Kissane and Sylvia Maier along with other instructors who challenged and inspired me every step of the way.

Any other notable achievements since graduating?

In September 2024, I was invited and selected to be a participating fellow at Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria for an amazing program opportunity called "Crossing the Pacific: The Asian American Experience in U.S. Society and Discourse." I had the privilege of leading a small-group discussion on the future of political philanthropy and its impact on Asian Americans within politics and civic engagement. The tools that I took from CGA and other spaces tremendously helped me to facilitate this critical discussion. Plus, it was nice to engage with 40 other fellows from 18 different countries who share similar interest and concern on this topic.
