<p><span class="p-body">Amy Ganz, a DAUS alum with a <a href="/content/sps-nyu/explore/degrees-and-programs/bs-in-digital-communications-and-media-stem.html" title="BS in Digital Communications and Media">Bachelor's of Science in Digital Communications and Media</a>, has always envisioned herself working in the heart of NYC, where the news never sleeps. Since graduating from NYU SPS, Ganz's career has reached new heights. We were thrilled to see what she’s been up to since earning her Master of Science in Communications & Journalism Innovation at Syracuse University and working at CNBC, Fox News, and, more recently, a nonprofit called Elizabeth’s Smile.</span></p>
Laying the Groundwork
<p><span class="p-body">With her eyes set on the ever-changing world of journalism and media, Ganz chose Syracuse University's journalism innovation track. Hoping to explore the transformative trends shaping journalism today, she was driven by her belief that understanding and innovating within digital media is crucial for making an impactful contribution to the news industry.</span></p>

Shifting Toward Mission-Driven Work
<p><span class="p-body">Committed to growth and exploration, Ganz's work extends beyond academics. Since completing her post-grad education, she’s shifted her focus to mission-driven organizations and media production. As the content director for Elizabeth’s Smile, she spearheads social media initiatives, event planning, and website development, all of which support grieving children and their caregivers. </span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">Her prior roles as a news producer at CNBC and Fox News provided her with diverse experiences in video editing, graphic design, script writing, and more. These skills were essential to landing her dream role at Elizabeth’s Smile.</span></p>
