Hospitality Requirements

Students will take courses with the NYU SPS Tisch Center of Hospitality, including: Hospitality & Tourism Sales/Marketing, Customer Experience Management, Integrated Social Media & Digital Marketing, and Event Design & Production

Electives

Students select additional courses to further support their academic and professional interest from a wide range of courses available throughout NYU SPS.

Internship

Students have the option to pursue an internship in the hospitality internship as a major elective. SPS can help you arrange one or you can identify your own.

Applicants to our Associate and Bachelor's degrees must have completed some college credit in order to apply to the summer or fall semesters. Applicants who have not completed any college coursework may apply to the spring semester. Learn more about the admission process and requirements.

To qualify for guaranteed admission, AAS in Hospitality Management degree candidates must have maintained a 2.8 GPA in high school and meet one of the following criteria:

The Tisch Center prepares individuals from around the world for hospitality management, travel, and tourism careers at the undergraduate and graduate level. DAUS specializes in serving undergraduates with practical, career-connected associate and bachelor’s degrees with flexible scheduling options, professional advising, and a range of student supports to ensure students are prepared for the next steps in their careers.

An associate of arts (AA) focuses on a liberal arts-based general education, while an associate of applied science (AAS) hones in on business, science and specific industry skills.

Yes: NYU associate degrees are comparably priced to community colleges, and if you are eligible for Federal Pell grants or New York State TAP and start in the spring semester, NYU SPS will make up any difference between tuition and your government aid. You will complete the associate degree at no out-of-pocket tuition cost and be halfway done with an NYU SPS DAUS bachelor’s degree.
