In addition to academia, Bujisic runs his own consulting practice, a branding and marketing analytics startup. “I truly teach what I do," says Bujisic. "I show what we do professionally. I always bring it to the classroom.”

One of his most recent applied projects focuses on Brand Social Value (BSV). The BSV is a framework for ranking brands based on how closely their values align with those of consumers, rather than relying on more subjective, traditional brand-trust surveys. The research earned Bujisic and his collaborators the Best Paper in the Branding and Brand Management Track award from the American Marketing Association (AMA). The framework has since evolved into a software solution that companies can use to measure how marketing campaigns affect the relationship between brands and consumers.

Bujisic's latest project “Marketing to Machines,” focuses on what happens when both buyers and sellers delegate decisions to AI algorithms, a topic he presented this summer at CoDIT (the International Conference on Control, Decision and Information Technologies) in Bari, Italy. Last but not least, Bujisic is preparing a follow-up to his research on Brand Social Value (BSV) using data collected from five European countries: Italy, France, Spain, the UK, and Germany.
