Taking place during Spring Break in March 2027, this immersive field course led by Professor Recep Karaburun takes graduate and upper-level undergraduate students onboard a Royal Caribbean International 7-night Bahamas sailing to examine the complex mechanics of the global cruise sector. Participants will gain behind-the-scenes operational access, dissecting onboard revenue management strategies, guest experience design, and cutting-edge maritime technologies directly alongside cruise line executive staff. Through field observations and direct leadership meetings, students will analyze how international hospitality brands maintain service excellence, optimize complex supply chains, and drive profitability at sea. Designed for future hospitality and tourism leaders, this program bridges academic strategy with high-level industry exposure to deliver actionable expertise and expand your professional global network.
