The Building Better Cities Collaborative (BBCC) at NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate brings together mid-career professionals from across the built environment to advance more livable, prosperous, and sustainable cities.
BBCC pursues a dual ambition — to collectively generate innovative responses to systemic urban challenges, and to strengthen each Fellow’s individual capacity to
deliver that change in the future.
The Fellowship Studio is the reflective, inward-facing strand of the fellowship, where each Fellow builds the individual capacity to deliver lasting change in their own
career.
The course goal is for each Fellow to define the impact they most want to make and design their path towards it. It is delivered across both semesters: Mission in
Semester 1 and Strategy in Semester 2.
In Mission, the central question is: What further impact do I want to make in the world? Fellows define their personal sense of purpose that will shape their future
urban innovation work.
Fellows are invited to identify a continuing education course at NYU Schack for Semester 2 that could support their personal learning goals.
