Jiyeon Hong is a professional translator with over 15 years of experience. She received a bachelor's degree in English at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Korea and earned a master’s degree in translation at Monterey Institute of International Studies in California in 2008. After graduation, she worked as a project manager and later took on a supervisor role in a translation and localization company. Since she left the company, she has worked as a freelance translator for clients including U.S. federal and state government agencies and private companies. She specializes primarily in medical, pharmaceutical, and health care fields as well as government and education fields.
She looks forward to sharing her experience and perspectives that she has earned from various roles in this industry with students and helping them develop the professional skills they will need after they graduate.
