Born in Brooklyn, NY to Nigerian parents, Uwa (as she is called by her friends & family) is a seasoned eCommerce & Digital Marketing Professional, with over 10 years of experience in her field specifically in the Fashion & Beauty space.

She has worked & consulted for brands like Aeropostale, LVMH, JCrew, BPI/Shiseido, Tiffany & Co and others.

In addition Uwa has 6 years of teaching experience both on the Graduate & Undergraduate level. She has taught at the Fashsion Institute of Technology (FIT) and LIM College. She is thrilled to join the Faculty at NYU as a Lecturer.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing Management from Saint Peter's University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Saint Peter's University.

Uwa’s full native name is “Uwaila” (pronounced ooh-why-la) which translated from the Benin language means “Prosperity or Wealth has no time limit” Uwa for short means Prosperity or Wealth.
