This one-day intensive is designed to unlock the transformative potential of generative AI for professionals across industries. Participants will explore how AI can be applied to digital storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and event planning to drive measurable impact.
Prerequisite: Participants should have access to at least ChatGPT (or an equivalent generative AI tool) prior to the course to ensure a hands-on learning experience.
The course was developed and is taught by Elizabeth (Liz) Ngonzi, Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU SPS, a globally recognized AI and leadership strategist, award-winning educator, and speaker. She is Founder and CEO of The International Social Impact Institute® (The ISII) and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society for AI (ASFAI), where she is the founding chair of its Ethics & Responsible AI Committee. Since 2023, Professor Ngonzi has trained more 9,500 professionals across six continents, advised technology companies on optimizing offerings for education and social impact, and engaged over 40,000 participants worldwide through 130+ webinars and events over the past five years.
Professor Ngonzi's course introduces learners to her proprietary 1+1+AI=10™ Methodology and SHINE™ Storytelling Framework alongside the AI for Impact Project Coach by Elizabeth Ngonzi™. These frameworks guide participants in crafting compelling, mission-aligned messaging through the effective use of generative AI.
Learners will gain hands-on practice with a range of applications -- including Perplexity AI, Canva Magic Design, Claude, Wordly AI, Udio, Panjaya AI, and AskHumans -- to enhance creativity, efficiency, and impact across sectors such as social impact, business, hospitality, and events.
The program blends case studies, live demonstrations, and an applied AI workshop, enabling participants to design strategies that amplify digital presence and stakeholder engagement. It also emphasizes responsible AI adoption, providing best practices for ethical, transparent, and inclusive use of AI in campaigns and organizational strategies.
Optional Project: Participants may choose to apply course tools and frameworks to develop a project idea (with feedback provided). While not required, this project offers an opportunity to deepen learning and showcase practical application. Full participation in this course is applicable for 7 CFRE points in Category 1.B - Education (initial certification/recertification).
