Prerequisites
Students in this accelerated certificate program should have at least one to two years of experience in arts management or nonprofit management, have some familiarity with the arts, and have a basic familiarity with the basic principles of nonprofit management.
Requirements: Applicants should submit a resume to sps.pala.ce@nyu.edu demonstrating experience working in the arts.
The certificate is awarded to students who declare candidacy and successfully complete the one required course listed below with a grade of B or higher.

Either before or immediately after registering for the course, students should submit a resume to sps.pala.ce@nyu.edu demonstrating experience working in the arts.
The accelerated certificate is one 12-week online course that is made up of weekly, live (synchronous) sessions taught via Zoom and self-paced (asynchronous) learning within NYU’s online learning platform, with weekly deadlines for lesson and assignment completion .
Yes, students from all over the world take our courses.
Yes, Zoom meetings are recorded for later viewing for those students who are not able to attend a particular class session.
The accelerated certificate must be completed within one semester (12 weeks).

It’s preferable if you do, but you can still declare candidacy even after taking a course. Declaring candidacy does not commit you to completing it, but you will receive a 10% discount on future NYU SPS continuing education courses.
Assuming the course is part of the certificate, yes, but only if the course was taken within an acceptable time frame. The academic department gives students a specific amount of time to complete a certificate. The start date would be adjusted to the first class to which we applied the discount.
Yes, if a student declares candidacy for a certificate and achieves an average overall grade of B or higher in courses counting toward the certificate, they will be awarded a certificate badge upon completion, which will be shareable on their resume and LinkedIn profile.
No, continuing education courses and certificates do not qualify for financial aid.
Most continuing education programs do not count as credit toward a degree.
