What You'll Learn

Today’s global issues - from terrorism and climate change to human rights, cyber security, and the global economy - have both subtle and significant impacts on our lives. Through sessions led by NYU faculty scholars and practitioners, participants will immerse themselves in examining and exploring today’s critical global issues. In addition to deep dives on critical topics, the program features dynamic guest lectures and site visits to expose participants to the variety of career paths for an impactful global career, expand their professional network, and better understand the desired skill sets and content areas that organizations are seeking.

  • International Relations: Theories and Geopolitics
  • Transnational Security: Definitions, Threats and Actors
  • Climate Change and Security
  • The Geopolitics of Renewable Energy
  • The Global Economy - Trade and Development
  • International Development and Aid
  • Cyber Security and International Relations
  • Global Health and the Disease Burden

Site visits may include: The United Nations, Permanent Missions to the UN, NGOs, Global Private Sector firms

Housing

Staying at NYU

Apartment-style NYU housing is available for students in this program. Check-in will be Sunday, July 20 through Saturday, August 2nd. Direct housing costs will be $90 per night for a shared room or $135 per night for a single. Housing is limited and subject to availability. The priority deadline is March 28, 2025

Cost for International Students

  • NYU International Student Charge: $90
  • I-20 Processing Charge: $50
  • DS-160 Processing Charge: $185
  • SEVIS Fee: $350 (F-1 visas)
  • NYU Student Health Insurance: $93/week

(Please note that the DS-160 Charge and SEVIS Fees are payable to US Dept of State and the US Dept of Homeland Security)
