The visit allowed the NYU SPS team to connect with alumni, prospective and current students, and Indian universities to explore potential partnerships to advance the strong relationship between NYU and India.

“On every one of our visits to colleges across India, we were welcomed with open arms and celebrations. A true reflection of Indian hospitality and their enthusiasm for collaborating on educational opportunities for their students,” said Dean Kamath. “Each college in India is unique, but in the end, these schools’ goals and values align with our mission of providing transformative learning experiences steeped in real-world applications and curriculum.”

As a result of their successful visit, NYU SPS has initially signed agreements with three colleges in India:

ATLAS SkillTech University

HR College of Commerce and Economics

Somaiya Vidyavihar University

With these agreements, NYU SPS and the Indian universities agree to explore and undertake various cooperation programs in three critical areas:

Educational Pathways, which includes Master’s Progressions and Dual/Combined Degrees;

Student Exchange Programs, including Semester Abroad Options and Global Immersion Programs; and

Faculty Collaborations, which include Faculty and Researcher Exchanges, and Joint Research Projects.

“These collaborations present a significant opportunity for us to enhance and expand applied educational options for NYU SPS students, create enrollment pathways to NYU SPS for students from these Indian academic institutions, and broaden our faculty’s teaching experiences,” said Fillian.

“In addition to our university visits in India, we also connected with dozens of thriving NYU alumni,” said Valentine. “It was great learning how their experience at NYU SPS has helped shape them and their careers while discussing how they can be brand ambassadors for the School in the region. We have innovative alumni doing fascinating things all over the world," added Valentine. One of the alumni the NYU SPS team visited with during their trip was Integrated Marketing graduate Priyank Shah ‘14, a third-generation jeweler who started his own 3D printing and CNC technology business.
