<p><span class="p-body">MS in Real Estate Development graduate Alexandru Bancu combined his prior training as an architect with a creative approach to problem-solving to propose an innovative solution to the affordability crisis in the workforce housing sector. For his Capstone Project, Bancu presented his business strategy for New City Modular, a vertically integrated real estate development company.</span></p> <p><span class="p-body">By optimizing development and construction processes with New City Modular, Bancu seeks to deliver a prompt, affordable, and modern housing solution catering to the middle class. From a business standpoint, the competitive advantage of this venture lies in a building product that can be replicated across varying site scales, independent of location, and excluding the need for a fundamental redesign for each project. His approach streamlines the delivery of all projects, cuts project costs by as much as 20%, and shortens delivery times by as much as 50%.</span></p>

The final product exemplifies the volume and depth of theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom. Held each spring, the annual Capstone Fair features projects that embody the School's innovative spirit. We invite students graduating in the spring, fall, and summer graduates to participate.
