NYU SPS Students Conduct Research-based Projects for Manhattan District Attorney's Office with Critical Policy Implication

Practicum Partner: Manhattan District Attorney’s Office (DANY)
<p><span class="p-body">Consulting practicums are research collaborations that partner NYU SPS students with top organizations. They offer students the opportunity to interface with leading experts, while earning credit and completing projects that can help advance their academic and professional careers.</span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">Through a unique learning partnership with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office of New York (DANY), students from NYU SPS’ Center for Global Affairs (CGA) have worked on research-based projects with important policy and practical implications. Previous projects include: </span></p>
<ul class="p-list">
<li><span class="p-body">An investigation into the relationship between misogyny, mass violence, and violent extremism, culminating in the development of a practitioner-friendly report on the involuntary celibate (incel) movement </span></li>
<li><span class="p-body">Trainings to relevant stakeholders on a number of important topics</span></li>

About NYU SPS Practicums

Collaborating with top organizations such as the United Nations, the US State Department, non-governmental organizations, and private firms, NYU SPS CGA offers practical, hands-on learning experiences in international policymaking through its global consulting practicums.</span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">Under faculty supervision, the full-credit-bearing practicums have become a key element in the program’s commitment to bridging classroom learning with practical applications.</span></p>
