<p><span class="p-body">Abby Jo Sigal is a seasoned public-sector and nonprofit leader with decades of experience advancing talent development, public-private partnerships, community and economic development, affordable housing, and philanthropy. Throughout her career, Ms. Sigal has worked to improve the lives and well-being of the residents, families, and communities of New York City. She currently serves as Strategic Advisor to the New York Hall of Science, supporting organizational strategy and institutional growth.</span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">Until April 2025, Ms. Sigal served as Executive Director of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Talent and Workforce Development, where she led the City’s efforts to transform its talent development and workforce systems to better align education, training, and employment with the needs of New Yorkers and employers. Her prior leadership roles span government, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector, including directing a family foundation, founding a nonprofit focused on building career pathways for students, leading innovation and strategy at a national social venture firm focused on affordable housing, and co-developing the vision and financing strategy for Hudson River Park.</span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">As an Executive-in-Residence at NYU SPS, Ms. Sigal contributes to guest lectures, programs, and events across SPS, sharing executive-level perspectives on leadership, strategy, and decision-making. She supports student career development by providing advice and guidance. She also consults with divisional leadership strategic initiatives as requested.</span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">Ms. Sigal serves on the Boards of Urban Assembly and the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing and is a member of the Executive Committee of the ASME Foundation. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Yale University as well as an M.B.A. and Master of Urban Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.</span></p>
