                As Vice Dean of the Faculty, Krahulik oversees the policies and operations that position SPS’s 1,300 faculty for success. Under her purview are the Office of Faculty Affairs and the NEXUS Center for Learning and Teaching. SPS welcomed Krahulik back to NYU as a dean and faculty member in 2019. Prior to SPS, Krahulik held senior leadership positions in global, faculty, academic and student affairs at Princeton University, NYU’s College of Arts and Science, Columbia University, Brown University and Duke University.
Alongside her expansive career in higher education administration, Krahulik has been an active scholar and faculty member. Krahulik has taught at Duke University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and New York University. She is the author of Provincetown: From Pilgrim Landing to Gay Resort (NYU Press 2005); numerous articles on gender, sexuality, performance, and oral history; and has been an invited speaker at academic conferences and colleges worldwide. From 2006 to 2009 Krahulik held the position of chair of the American Historical Association’s Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender History.
Krahulik has received a variety of professional awards and honors, including a fellowship at Harvard University, Honorable Mention for NYU’s Team Achievement Award, a Senior Thesis Award from Princeton, and grants from NYU, the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities, the Bay State Historical League, the National Women’s Studies Association, the David Bonnet Foundation, and the American College Personnel Association.
