Eleven Faculty Recognized with the 2022-2023 Teaching Excellence Award

Each academic year, the NYU School of Professional Studies honors outstanding educators with the Teaching Excellence Award, recognizing faculty members whose dedication to student success is evidenced by a spectrum of achievements. These accolades include a proven record of exemplary teaching both within and beyond the classroom, the ability to inspire intellectual development, and the implementation of innovative, intellectually rigorous, and engaging pedagogical approaches.

Recipients of the Teaching Excellence Award exhibit a commitment to integrating new scholarly and professional work into their teaching, fostering critical thinking and encouraging independent inquiry. The quality of their advising and mentoring of undergraduate or graduate students is also a distinguishing factor, as is their contribution to the development or enhancement of curricula in their respective fields.
