Adjunct Instructor
Joseph Esposito is a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies with the Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science at NYU, as well as a Faculty Fellow in Residence. He received his PhD in Mathematics from NYU Tandon in 2019. His doctoral research focused on partial differential equations, specifically proving the existence of solutions to equations governing the Fractional Quantum Hall Effect.
Currently teaching mathematics at the Brooklyn campus, Professor Esposito is dedicated to helping students build a strong foundation in calculus, preparing them to tackle the kind of advanced mathematics that drive modern science and engineering. Outside of his standard curriculum, he actively mentors student teams for the COMAP Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM/ICM).
As a Faculty Fellow in Residence, he is deeply committed to the NYU student community and frequently leads excursions for residential students to explore parts of NYC they might not normally get to see, such as Forest Park. In his free time, he enjoys playing the bass and experimenting with synthesizers.
