Robert Parker
Adjunct Instructor NYU School of Professional Studies Robert F. Parker is the Managing Partner of Honu Hoku Advisors and has worked in ClimateTech, Renewable Energy, and Sustainability since 2005 as an entrepreneur, executive, consultant, policy advisor, project developer, and investor. He has 25 years of experience in leadership, management, capital markets, and creating sustainable growth at clients ranging from public & private companies to non-profits, governments, and government agencies. Mr. Parker and his colleagues formed Honu Hoku Advisors in 2022 to exclusively support early and growth stage ClimateTech companies scale not only faster but with a foundation for enduring, sustainable success.
Mr. Parker’s ClimateTech sector experience spans: Solar / PV; Energy Storage / Battery; CarbonTech; Smart Grid, Monitoring & Energy Efficiency; Waste Energy; Heat-to-Power; Thermal Efficiency; Geothermal; Thermal Efficiency; AgTech & FoodTech; Smart Water; Policy, Energy Insurance & Risk Products; and Smart Water. He has successfully navigated in the ClimateTech sector through two full economic cycles (back to Cleantech 1.0), which has given him an awareness of how to identify companies that have the ability to grow and be resilient through a variety of market conditions.
Mr. Parker volunteers for the CleanTech Open, the NREL Industry Growth Forum, and the Canadian Technology Accelerator among others. He has been teaching at NYU since 2015 on ClimateTech, Renewable Energy Finance & Entrepreneurship. Mr. Parker is part of the Climate Avengers Angel Investment group and serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Zinc8 Energy Solutions’ (CSE: ZAIR). Mr. Parker has an MBA cum laude from Loyola University – Chicago and a BA from Johns Hopkins University.
