Human Capital Management Certificate in Executive Coaching

Diploma Description

The Certificate in Executive Coaching is designed for professionals who want to develop foundational and practical knowledge of coaching within a business context. Students become versed in the process for developing leaders’ abilities to achieve professional and organizational goals and individuals’ abilities to achieve personal goals. Students learn and apply skills and techniques to achieve individual and organizational effectiveness by incorporating theory and foundation into their practice of coaching. This program consists of four courses.

New York University is a Level 2 ICF Accredited Coaching Education Provider. If students choose, they can complete the additional Mentor Coaching course, which includes 9 group mentor coaching hours and 3 one-on-one mentor coaching hours, as well as the final performance evaluation assessed at the PCC level. Upon successful completion of the Certificate in Executive Coaching, plus the Mentor Coaching course, students can apply the program toward an ICF credential using the "Level 2 / ACTP Path."

Each course provides 36 synchronous hours and 14 asynchronous hours of instruction, which will entitle students to earn 50 ICF coach education contact hours per course.

Note: The Mentor Coaching course is not required to be taken in order to earn the Certificate in Executive Coaching. If NYU SPS Certificate in Executive Coaching students do not take the Mentor Coaching course at NYU SPS, they can still apply their NYU SPS Certificate program toward an ICF credential using the "Level 1 / ACSTH Path."
