Cannabis Cultivation, Cloning, Extraction, and Processing

This course will provide an overview of cannabis cultivation options, including both traditional field cultivation and in-door options, as well as the business implications, benefits, and detractors of both options. In most cases, cannabis cultivation is done through careful sourcing and cloning, processes about which students will learn. The course will discuss the trusted “recipes” of cultivators and how students might learn from or develop their own. Other topics will include lighting, nutrients, technical support, and sustainable approaches to address grow by-products. The various methods of cannabis extraction will be reviewed as well as the risks and benefits of each form of extraction.
