NYU SPS Welcome and Orientation - Fall 2022

Welcome to NYU SPS. Orientation and onboarding events provide important introductions to the NYU SPS student experience. Thoughtfully curated to ensure that you have all the information you need, events will serve to guide and ground you. Attending is your first opportunity to meet fellow students, staff, and faculty. Participating is like getting a copy of the treasure map with the path clearly indicated.  Some sessions are mandatory, while others are optional—but all have been created to ensure a seamless transition and to quickly instill a sense of belonging in this very special community. Most of our on-boarding and orientation events will be in-person for Fall 2022; and for online/remote students, many of these events will be recorded or live streamed.

How can you learn more about our events?

  • Check your NYU email throughout the summer; ; information about orientation and onboarding events will be sent regularly.

The Peer Mentor Program will be available in the fall 2022 term to all incoming students. This program aims to connect SPS students with SPS Dean's Scholars. The Dean’s Scholars are extraordinary student leaders who will help you successfully navigate your collegiate experience. The program will consist of one-on-one mentorship relationships based on your needs, as well as insightful group workshops.

Participating in the SPS peer mentor program is a valuable opportunity not only to meet new friends and gain a sense of belonging within the SPS community, but to also receive unparalleled guidance on SPS academics, campus resources, and individual career development.

To participate complete the peer mentor sign up form.

What I like most about SPS is....

Andrea Castillon Gomez   she/her/hers

B.S. Hotel and Tourism Management

Monterrey, Mexico

The community at SPS is great! There are a lot of ways for getting involved and meeting people.  SPS has a small school feeling but is also part of a large university, so you can take advantage of both.

Arianna Olivas she/her/hers

B.S. Hotel and Tourism Management

San Diego, California

The amazing community!

Ally Weaver    she/her/hers

B,S. Hotel and Tourism Management

My favorite thing about SPS is how it feels like a small, tight-knit community within the big city!

Sebastian Richardson he/him/his

B.S. Real Estate
