Our faculty members are the driving force behind the unique brand of education for which NYU SPS is known. Providing a safe teaching environment, responding to those who seek teaching accommodations, and delivering the tools necessary for success in and outside of the classroom are of highest priority.
For SPS Faculty Members
Teaching Accommodations for Spring 2021
SPS faculty seeking accommodations for underlying medical conditions should contact the Office of Equal Opportunity using the following form. Those 65 and over and with accommodations requests other than underlying medical conditions should contact Kathie Murray at krm1@nyu.edu.
Preparing for Remote Instruction
The SPS Center for Academic Excellence and Support (CAES) has developed a Remote Instruction Toolkit that contains resources, tips, and materials for building an online learning community.
Teaching Outside of the US
There are instances in which NYU New York faculty members are currently not located in the United States due to visa issues, personal preference or other factors. Current approvals for faculty members and other employees to work remotely (outside of the office), do not automatically authorize this work outside of the US. Working outside of the US may raise personal liability issues regarding work authorization, taxes, and University obligations as an employer in the country in which you are located.
If you are currently outside of the US, not on leave of absence or sabbatical, and are planning to work for NYU New York this spring while living outside of the tri-state area, please notify Jessica Martin, director of academic and faculty affairs at jessica.martin@nyu.edu, so that we can review your request and make arrangements where feasible.
