The SPS Global Diversity Scholarship is designed to help graduate students and DAUS undergraduate students from historically marginalized communities participate in SPS Global Field Intensive (GFI) courses during the J-term, spring, and summer semesters. SPS is advancing diversity, inclusion, and equity at all levels of the School, including in its global programming. By creating opportunities for students who may not be otherwise able to participate in a global experience, the Global Diversity Scholarship is one effort in the broader commitment to Diversity and Inclusion at SPS. Recipients of the scholarship will receive a grant that covers the entire program activity fee for the GFI in which they are enrolled.

Frequently Asked Questions
I am a traditional undergraduate student. Can I apply for this scholarship?
Unfortunately not. The Global Diversity Scholarship is only available to graduate students and undergraduate students in the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS).
When will I be notified about the status of my application?
To provide scholarship recipients sufficient time to plan, decisions will be announced several weeks before the payment deadline for the term in which the GFI is being offered. All candidates will be assessed after the application deadline, so decisions will not be made on a rolling basis.
Can I apply to this scholarship for more than one semester?
Applicants for the Global Diversity Scholarship must plan to participate in a specific GFI during a specific semester. If you are selected as a scholarship recipient and your GFI is cancelled, you will receive priority consideration during future application cycles as long as you intend to participate in another GFI.
Am I able to use this scholarship toward short-term global programs at other NYU Schools?
No, unfortunately the Global Diversity Scholarship may only be used for an SPS short-term Global Field Intensive (GFI) program.
