Full-Time Faculty Grievance Committee

*Please note: Participation on the committee is limited to one (1) member per academic unit as it is important the committee embodies representation from across the School.
Terms of Service:
Two (2) years.
Eligibility Criteria:
Full-time faculty must have been employed as full-time faculty at NYU for a minimum of two (2) academic years. Full-time faculty members who have administrative titles of Academic Director/Chair or above are not eligible for Grievance Committee membership. As a SPS Faculty Council member sits on each committee in an ex-officio capacity, Faculty Council members are ineligible to run for the school-wide committees.
Election Process:
The ballots for the Full-Time Faculty Grievance Committee will be on a school-wide ballot for voting-eligible full-time faculty members. Should an academic unit have more than one full-time continuing contract faculty nominee for the Grievance Committee, a unit-specific ballot will be released prior to the final ballot.
Rank, Title, and Privilege (RTP) Committee

Terms of Service:
Two (2) years.
Eligibility Criteria:
Full-time faculty must have taught at SPS for a minimum of one (1) academic year. Full-time faculty members planning to apply for promotion during the next two academic years should refrain from nominating themselves for service on the RTP Committee.
Full-time faculty members who have administrative titles of Academic Director/Chair or above are not eligible for RTP Committee membership. As a SPS Faculty Council member sits on each committee in an ex-officio capacity, Faculty Council members are ineligible to run for the school-wide committees.
Election Process:
The members of the RTP Committee are elected by the Faculty Council. The SPS Dean will review the elected members, who will be announced shortly thereafter.
Assessment Committee

Eligibility Criteria:
Faculty member must be currently employed at SPS. There is no required minimum of years of teaching at SPS for this committee. As a SPS Faculty Council member sits on each committee in an ex-officio capacity, Faculty Council members are ineligible to run for the school-wide committees.
Election Process:
The members of the Assessment Committee are elected by the Faculty Council. The SPS Dean will review the elected members, who will be announced shortly thereafter.
Faculty Council Election Timeline
March 1 - Call for Nominations is sent out
March 22 - Deadline to nominate a colleague
April 1 - Deadline for candidates to submit a nomination packet (CV and letter describing qualifications for service (no longer than 250 words)
April 23 - Last day for faculty to cast votes for all members
May 1 - SPS Dean Announces candidates who have been elected
September 1 - Service for new terms begins
