DEGREE/CURRICULUM STRUCTURE

Degree Core Requirements

The core curriculum is designed to provide you with a deep and broad foundation that supports concentration course work and serves you throughout your career. Students are required to take all of the following courses.

Core Curriculum: Tier 1

Students are required to take all courses listed below. Tier I courses lay the groundwork for understanding the legal and financial environment in which commercial real estate transactions occur, as well as the economic, environmental, and societal forces underlying the current and future demand for various real estate asset classes.

Core Curriculum: Tier II

Students are required to take all courses listed below. In Tier II courses, students learn the fundamentals of corporate finance, capital markets and the development process.

Electives

Students are required to select elective courses from the list below. Please note that not all courses are offered every semester.

Concentrations

Students select one of the following two concentrations: Finance and Investment or Asset Management. Students are required to complete three courses (9 credits) in their selected concentration.

Finance and Investment

This concentration provides you with an in-depth understanding of real estate finance and investment.

Real Estate Asset Management

This concentration provides you with the practical, hands-on skill set to evaluate, acquire, and manage institutional and family-owned real estate portfolios.
