MS in Human Capital Analytics and Technology (STEM)

DEGREE/CURRICULUM STRUCTURE

CORE CURRICULUM: All students take a set of seven core courses, which provide a thorough introduction to the human capital management and analytics discipline. These include, but are not limited to: People and Organization Management, Workforce Planning, HR Information Systems, Managing the Analytics Function, and Managing Complex Projects.

ELECTIVES: The choice of six electives will allow for the study and application of a broad range of applied topics in the field. Examples include: Storytelling With Data, Digital Workplace Design, Intelligent Automation, Algorithmic Responsibility, Agile Methods and Organizations, and Current/Future Trends in Human Capital Analytics and Technology.

CAPSTONE: The capstone will conclude the course of study for this program. It will consist of a blend of hands-on practical application of newly acquired skills, working on a variety of projects in sponsor companies, and a research thesis summarizing the students’ evidence-based findings. NYU has partnered with several industry companies and associations to provide students with real world experience and access to industry thought leadership.  

Program Requirements

This degree is a 30-credit program consisting of a required set of core courses (7 courses, 18 credits total), student-selected elective courses (6 courses, 9 credits total), and a required capstone project (1 course, 3 credits total).
