Rajeev Maharaj is Associate Director of Generative AI Analytics & Modeling at Moody's Analytics. He teaches Advanced Business Analytics as an Adjunct Professor at NYU, drawing on more than a decade of industry experience to give students hands-on exposure to the tools and frameworks shaping modern data science. Rajeev's career spans the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Citi, and Morgan Stanley, where he worked across bank supervision, institutional client analytics, and risk management. Most recently, as Decision Sciences Specialist at Volkswagen Credit, he built machine learning and AI systems for a $30 billion automotive finance portfolio — work that sits at the intersection of applied AI, quantitative finance, and model risk governance. He holds dual master's degrees from NYU Stern in Risk Management and Business Analytics, an MBA from Hofstra University's Zarb School of Business, and a Bachelor's in Economics from Queens College with a minor in Biology. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of analytics professionals and bringing real-world industry problems into the classroom.
