Arthur R. Miller, founder and chairman of NYUSPS Sports and Society; associate dean and director of the Tisch Institute for Sports Management, Media, and Business; University professor, NYU School of Law; and director of Public Dialogues, NYU School of Professional Studies, was formerly Bruce Bromley professor of law at Harvard Law School (1971–2007). He teaches the “Sports Law” course at the NYU School of Law. Previously, Miller was legal editor of ABC’s Good Morning America. He has moderated Socratic dialogues for several PBS series, and won an Emmy Award for his work on The Constitution: That Delicate Balance. He also was commissioner on the United States Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works. In 2011, he was honored as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II. His legal specialties include federal practice and procedure and intellectual property.
