Matthew J. Lustig is chairman of investment banking, North America as well as head of real estate & lodging at Lazard, advising clients on strategic transactions in the real estate and lodging industries. Previously, Lustig served as head of investment banking, North America. He has headed the real estate private equity business of Lazard and its post-IPO successors, which included multiple funds with over $2.5 billion of equity capital invested in public and private real estate operating companies and properties.

Lustig serves on the boards of Boston Properties, Inc.and Ventas, Inc. and the advisory boards of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, his alma mater; the Real Estate Centers at Wharton (former chairman); and Columbia Business School.  He is a member of PREA, the Real Estate Roundtable, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
